Sometimes our children don't fit into the neat little boxes
the medical and mental health professions want them to.
When you feel your child has a little bit of this and little bit of that, but not enough of one set of traits or symptoms to clasify or diagnose them easily, then you may want to look at Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).
As many as 1 in 6 children has difficulty processing sensory inputs, which can present itself in many different ways and create a misdiagnosis such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, OCD and the like.
Most psychiatrists and pediatricians do not formally recognize the disorder, so your best bet is to seek out an Occupational Therapist.
